About the Project

A 2.5D port of Age of War for the 3DS, built from the ground up, It's currently a MASSIVE WIP, this is gonna take me way longer than I initially thought, I really thought I'd be finished by like July or something, LOL no, noo, it's gonna be a while.. so stay tuned for other smaller projects in the meantime! theyre the only thing keeping me from going insane and commiting several unforgivable atrocities at this point.. :bouncey:

this is my first really big C project so give me time to get things right! I'm fairly new to homebrew development too, I didnt know a got damn thing before starting this project, but I'm getting more comfortable as time passes, and I wouldn't be making this public if I wasn't confident in my ability to deliver, so just hang tight, subscribe to my youtube, and I'll make a followup devlog when I'm deeper in the project!

What's Working

  • All stone age units spawnable.
  • Functional bases with health
  • Gold implimented
  • 2.5D background layers with actual depth
  • camera controls with L and R
  • Bottom screen GUI
  • Functional idling, attcking and death animations
  • Cooldown bar and accurate queuing system
  • *Enemy units spawn naturally

What's Coming

  • XP system
  • Updated detection and collision logic
  • Updated attacking, and spawning logic
  • (I'm still experimenting, a lot of whats working is still subject to change)
  • Turrets, a turret menu, and placement controls with the D pad
  • Killing enemy units gets you gold and xp
  • Background music and SFX
  • Special attack
  • Projectile sprites
  • All the different ages
  • Title Screen, Game Over/Win screen
